According to a recent poll from Pew Research Center, 81% of Latinos in the U.S. consider addressing global climate change a priority, compared to 67% of non-Hispanics. 📈
🌿 That's why, this Earth Month, Chispa is teaming up with GreenLatinos, a community of Latine leaders fighting for political, economic, cultural, and environmental liberation, to make a positive impact. Juntos, we're educating our users on how to advocate for environmental change and take action right on the app! 🤝
🌟 As part of our collaboration, we've co-created five in-app "Eco-friendly" profile stickers, available AHORA MISMO! These stickers allow our users to show their love por el planeta and connect with potential matches who share their passion for the environment. 💚
🙋♀️ To better understand what Latine singles are looking for in a significant other, we reached out to our users to explore the growing trend known as "green dating" and discover what eco-minded individuals are looking for when making a connection online.
Here's what we found:
🌱 79% of Latine singles believe that environmentalism is either somewhat or extremely important in their daily life.
🌡️ Over half of the respondents (51%) believe that we are heading to a climate emergency, but we still can avoid it if we all decide to act now. Over 25% believe it might already be too late!
💞 Sharing the same eco values with a potential partner is somewhat or extremely important to 72% of all respondents. Almost 40% would do their best to control their carbon footprint.
🌞 55% said they would consider supporting the environment by adding the eco-stickers on their Chispa profiles.
